Mom went to a local flea market here and found a bag full of watches–mostly vintage and some of them quite nice. Whole bag for a great price. Just the time I spent sorting through them and googling the maker names provided me enough entertainment to make them worth the cost. I even found an old Timex in the bag that worked when I wound it up. Not that it’ll continue to do so–they don’t seem to function as well when they’ve been taken apart, gutted and used in Steampunk projects. Although I will say that I have a goal of making at least one book with functioning and interactive mechanics on it.
